The Band Room: England's tiniest major venue.

Built for the local silver band in the 1920s this 100 capacity venue - 35 miles north of York - has got to be one of the best 'intimate' gigs in the whole of England, with its great acoustics, fantastic atmosphere and unpretentious homespun vibe (we don't sell booze - but you're welcome to bring your own). And there are great places to stay on the moors if you want to make a weekend of it - in farmhouse B&Bs, country inns or 200-year old self-catering sandstone cottages.
