Austin, Texas-based Ramsay Midwood - who's played with ARLO GUTHRIE, WILLIE NELSON and RAMBLIN' JACK ELLIOTT - is a true one-off, his style somewhere between JJ CALE and JOHNNY DOWD, with bits of MICHAEL HURLEY, TOM WAITS and the young BILLY JOE SHAVER thrown in. Tony Gilkyson (Eliza's brother), best-known as former guitarist with LA punk / alt.country outfit X, CHUCK E WEISS and JOHN DOE, is now stepping out on his own with a terrific headline show.
